A new Confirmation journey is on the horizon at Peace Church. From September 2026, we invite young people and their families to explore faith, belonging, and questions of life together — with Confirmation Sunday planned for spring 2028.
At Peace Church United Methodist, Confirmation is not a single event but a shared journey over time. In September 2026, we will begin a new Confirmation Class, and we are now inviting families to let us know if their child might be interested in taking part.
This Confirmation Class is intended for children and young people who will be around 11–12 years old by September 2026. Over the course of the programme, the group will meet regularly to explore Christian faith in an open, honest, and age-appropriate way.
The Confirmation journey is a space where questions are welcome. Together, the group reflects on themes such as faith and doubt, Jesus and the Bible, prayer and worship, community and responsibility, and what it means to belong to the church today. Just as importantly, it is a place to build relationships, trust, and a sense of belonging within the church community.
The journey will conclude with Confirmation Sunday in spring 2028, when young people are invited to publicly affirm their faith and their place in the church — if and when they feel ready to do so.
