On Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026, Peace Church invites you to a joyful All-Age Worship Service in Munich-Giesing. Together, we celebrate resurrection as a new beginning — a story of hope that still unfolds today.
He is risen — and everything begins again.
Easter is not just a memory. It is a moment that continues to unfold — in our lives, in our communities, and in the ways we begin again.
On Sunday, 5 April 2026 at 12:00 noon, we gather at Chiemgaustr. 7 (Philippuskirche), Munich-Giesing for a joyful All-Age Worship Service that brings together children, families, and people of all ages. Easily accessible via U1 to St.-Quirin-Platz (just a 5-minute, barrier-free walk), this service is designed to be open, welcoming, and full of life.
A Service for Everyone
This is truly a service for all generations. Children are invited to sit at the front, colouring pages are available at the entrance, and a play area offers space for the youngest participants. Whether you come alone, with friends, or as a family — there is a place for you here.
Music, Story, and Celebration
Music will carry us through the celebration — from the Easter classic Christ the Lord Is Risen Today to Lord I Lift Your Name on High, Oh Praise the Name, and Because He Lives.
At the heart of the service is the Easter story itself, shared in an All-Age Bible Reading from Luke 24 and John 20. The message, “A New Start,”, invites us to see resurrection not only as something that happened long ago, but as something that still happens — in quiet transformations, in courage to begin again, and in hope that refuses to fade.
The Flowering Cross
One of the most powerful moments of the service will be the Flowering Cross.
🌸 You are warmly invited to bring flowers and place them on the cross.
Together, we will watch a symbol of death become a sign of life — a shared act that makes the Easter message visible and tangible.
Blessing, Communion, and Community
We will celebrate the blessing of Matthias Sakyi, share prayers together, and gather around the table for Holy Communion — open to all who seek God’s grace. During the sharing of peace and bread, the African Choir will enrich the service with song.
After the Service
Easter does not end with the final blessing.
After the service, we will take an Easter group picture — a joyful snapshot of our community — and then stay for Church Coffee in the fellowship hall or outside (weather permitting). It is a time to connect, celebrate, and simply enjoy being together.
Come as You Are
Whether this is your first Easter in Munich or one of many — you are welcome.
Come with your questions, your hopes, your doubts, your joy.
Come and celebrate life, hope, and new beginnings.
